The Kelly was introduced in the 1930s and was formerly known as the Sac à dépêches bag, until 1956 when Grace Kelly was pictured shielding her stomach (trying to conceal her pregnancy), with this classic handbag. From then on, the bag (which elegantly transcends from day to night) was referred to as 'The Kelly' and its popularity soared internationally.
